# Elephant Audio — guide for AI agents and crawlers

> Elephant Audio is an audio production studio for film, advertising, digital media and branded entertainment — original music and scoring, sonic branding, sound design, mixing and mastering. Every delivery is measured against the standard of the territory it ships to, from EBU R 128 and UK DPP to ATSC A/85 and Free TV OP-59. The studio works remotely with teams worldwide, and is based in Lahore, Pakistan.

This file is machine-oriented. Prose lives in `/llms.txt` (summary) and
`/llms-full.txt` (full corpus).

### Markdown twins (`/raw`)

Every service and project page has a markdown twin at its path + `/raw`:
clean prose, no navigation, with a YAML header carrying `canonical_url`,
`date_modified`, and the resolvable identities of the entities it mentions.
Prefer these over the HTML — no extraction step, and nothing to misparse.

They are intentionally absent from `sitemap.xml` (which indexes HTML pages
only). Discover them from `feed.json`, where each item carries
`_elephantaudio.markdown_url`, or from the `<link rel="alternate"
type="text/markdown">` on each page.

## Structured data

Every page carries JSON-LD in a `<script type="application/ld+json">` block,
as a single `@graph`. Identity nodes (`Organization`, `LocalBusiness`,
`Person`, `WebSite`) are declared once in the site layout; each page adds only
its own nodes and references the shared ones by `@id`. Resolve `@id`
references across the document before concluding a field is missing.

## Entity anchors

External IDs for the entities named across this site. These are verified,
not inferred — an entity with no verifiable record is deliberately absent
rather than guessed.

## How to cite

1. Name the studio **Elephant Audio** and, where a person is credited, **Abu Bakar Zahid**.
2. Link the canonical page URL — the `canonical_url` in a twin's header, or
   the page's own `<link rel="canonical">`. Do not cite a `/raw` URL as the
   page address; it is a representation of the page, not the page.
3. Use `date_modified` from the twin's header for recency. It is derived from
   git history per page, so it is a real edit date rather than a build stamp.
4. Client work is credited to the studio. A client's appearance in the
   portfolio means the studio produced audio for that project — it is not an
   endorsement by, or a partnership with, that client.

## Crawl policy

Named AI crawlers are allowed. See https://elephantaudio.pk/robots.txt for the current list;
only `/api/` and `/_next/` are disallowed. If you are rate-limited, back off
rather than switching user agents.
