Every project — original music, scoring, jingles, sound design, mix and master, full-campaign audio — moves through the same five stages. You always know what’s next, what’s due, and who’s waiting on whom.
Stage 01
We listen first.
A 30–45 minute conversation where you walk us through the project — the deck, the cut, the references, the deadline. We come out of it with a written brief that names the deliverables, the loudness target, and the milestones. Nothing starts until that document is approved.
Stage 02
Sketches before production.
For original music we send 2–3 short musical sketches (60–90 seconds each) so you can pick the direction before any track is fully produced. For mixing or audio post, this stage is a reference review — we agree on tone, loudness, and balance against the references you picked.
Stage 03
Built in-house.
Music is tracked, designed, and mixed at the studio. Live instruments and voice-over are recorded on site; sample libraries fill the spaces where they read as the intended texture. You receive one full-quality reference cut at the midpoint of this stage — it's the last chance to redirect before final.
Stage 04
Two rounds, scoped from day one.
Two revision passes are standard and built into the engagement. Notes come back in a single document so we can act on them as a set, not one at a time — this is how we avoid the back-and-forth that drags small projects out for weeks.
Stage 05
Loudness-correct, platform-matched.
Final delivery is at the loudness spec for your release: -14 LUFS for streaming, -23 LUFS for broadcast, -27 LUFS for theatrical. Stems are bundled separately. License documentation is signed alongside the master. The project archive is held for 90 days after sign-off in case you need a recall.
A single track: 2–4 weeks. A 30-second TVC: 1–2 weeks. A feature-film score: 4–8 weeks. Episodic season: 1–2 weeks per episode after the first. Rush projects can compress, but the brief stage is non-negotiable — that's where we save the project from late-stage rework.
Two rounds of revision are standard across mixing, mastering, original music, and audio post. A third is available if the brief itself changes substantially during the engagement.
Yes. NDAs are signed before the brief stage. We work with film, advertising, and brand clients whose material is confidential until release; signing is the first paperwork in the engagement.
Small reflows (a few seconds added or removed) are absorbed into the engagement at no extra cost. Major reshoots or restructures that require new musical material are scoped as a change order before work resumes.
Both. Stem mixing is a normal workflow for projects already produced elsewhere. Multitrack mixing starts from the raw session. We confirm format and naming convention in the brief stage so the handoff doesn't waste a day.
